William H. Bratton, CPA, Owner
William was born and has lived in the state of Washington all of his life. He graduated from Kent Meridian High School and the University of Washington with a degree in accounting. He has worked in public accounting for more than 40 years and is the original founder of the firm in Kent, starting in 1973.
William has considerable experience in income tax planning for individuals and closely-held businesses, corporate liquidations and stock redemptions. William prides himself on developing and implementing practical, effective solutions to existing or potential income tax issues, and strategies for minimizing income and estate taxes. He often assists with issues related to business planning, always with a view toward helping clients achieve their financial objectives. William has substantial experience representing his clients in disputes with various taxing authorities, including the Internal Revenue Service and state agencies. He stays current in tax planning trends and techniques by attending many classes and seminars, some of which include courses relating to corporate liquidations, retirement planning and financial strategies.
William is a member of the South King County CPA Society, Washington Society of CPAs and a founding board member of the South King County Estate Planning Council. The firm has been a member of the Kent Chamber of Commerce for 40 years. Mr. Bratton has served as a member of the Chamber's board of directors and currently serves on the Finance Committee for the Chamber. He has two grown children living in the area and is a great grandfather.
Carol Johnson, CPA
Carol is a Washington State native CPA who graduated from the University of Washington with academic honors. Her favorite things include hiking in the meditative serene woodlands, climbing on the spectacular glaciers of Mt. Rainier, Mt. Adams and Mt. Baker, hanging her inspiring nature photographs around her home, and her Golden doodle, Monty.
Carol apprenticed under exceptionally talented tax experts dedicated to their clients who continue to offer her technical support. She has worked with industry giants like Wards Cove Packing who operated 13 fisheries in Alaska, and Fryer Knowles who won competitive bids doing construction for the Bremerton Navy and Safeway.
With the continuing support of her fellow colleagues, she was fortunate to start an Accounting and Tax partnership with another CPA helping local Renton businesses and neighbors for 15 years.
After a short hiatus publishing two Science Fiction novels, Carol has returned to work with William Bratton in his 40 year old CPA firm. If you’re looking for someone who values team playing and providing services that lead to greater prosperity, then she is your CPA.

Sean Carney, specializes in Estate, Trust and General Tax Accounting
Sean has a Bachelor of Arts from UCLA and an Undergraduate Certificate in Accounting from City University of Seattle. He is licensed by the U.S. Treasury Department to represent taxpayers before the IRS and he formerly worked as an Excise Tax Examiner for the Washington State Department of Revenue. He has represented over 100 taxpayers in IRS audits.
